EU hosting is not a checkbox, it is an architecture

EU hosting is not a checkbox, it is an architecture

European companies increasingly ask for "EU-hosted AI". But hosting alone does not make a system sovereign, the full path of the data does.

Where do prompts travel? Which models see which fields? Is personally identifiable information masked before it ever reaches a model API? Can workloads be routed to different models by sensitivity, not just by cost?

These questions decide whether an AI platform is genuinely sovereign or just marketed that way. We design deployments where residency, routing and masking are explicit architectural decisions: visible, auditable and reversible.

Sovereignty is not a compliance tax. Done well, it is a design constraint that produces clearer, more maintainable systems.
